Day 23: Witchery on the Beach

We gathered the items, one watermelon split in half, white candles,  paper, ink pens, van van oil, sage,  Florida water, and Beyond the Veil oil.  Together we ventured to the beach to set up and make magic. The thing about the ocean at night is as the waves crash against the shore, shapes begin to emerge, human in form walking out of the water and onto the shore only to disappear into the shadows.

Mer and I looked around.  It was important that we have a circle as the beach had a strange feeling.  Julia and Sunny helped position the candles around us. I was excited to have a physical circle and felt it necessary to the space. We went into ritual, cleansing, centering, grounding, shielding, meditation, and journeying.  After we prepared the watermelon and brought it to the water.

There’s something about small witchy get-togethers that are so fulfilling.  I put a note out to the universe asking to build my financial pot so I can visit more often. Of course right after I receive an email from an author I admire greatly suggesting we collaborate in the future. Fingers crossed my friends. Somehow it will all work out.
